BSc in Physics, MSc
Born in Kolkatta, India, Debarpita Bardhan-Correia did her undergraduate degree in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from St. Joseph’s College of Arts & Science, Bangalore.
Since graduation, Debarpita has worked for The Oberoi Group, which owns and manages thirty-five luxury and first class international hotels in seven countries. She worked in high customer contact areas of the hotels in Mumbai, India involved initially with the activities of the Housekeeping Department and later with the sales and marketing activities of the hotel.
She then opted to pursue higher studies at the University of Buckingham and completed her Master’s in Service Management with distinction in 2000.
Deba lectures in Human Resource Management, Research Methods in Business and Managing People Across Cultures. She is Programme Director for the MSc in Service Management, and also supervises Master’s dissertations in the area of service management. She is currently pursuing her doctorate at Cranfield University and her research focus is in the area of HR and performance in the context of services.
